BEHIND THE SCENES

Mission Statement

The mission of Medbrook Children’s Charity is to promote lasting improvements in the lives of local underprivileged children. It is our belief that by assisting these children we are investing in their futures’ and the future of the community itself.

In order to serve these children in need, Medbrook Children’s Charity seeks donations; with an emphasis on local contributions. These funds are then distributed to disadvantaged children in this community in order to make a positive impact upon their lives.

Funded Projects

We are the sole financial supporter of the Children’s Apparel Program. The Children’s Apparel Program directs money to each school in the county to be used for the purchase of clothing for underprivileged children. The money is used to buy children clothes that are appropriate for weather or school events and activities. The money is often used to buy underprivileged children their first pair of new shoes.

We founded and continue to be the sole supporter of The School Nurses’ Discretionary Fund.  This program allows the nurses to assist children in need with “minor” medical problems that might otherwise cause their families economic hardship, or even worse go completely untreated.

We recently became the naming sponsor of the inclusive playground that will be constructed in Bridgeport.

We regularly support special needs from Sleep in Heavenly Peace and The League for Service that serve children in need. We have also formed a partnership with The Greater Clarksburg 10K that encourages school aged children to participate in exercise in order to combat childhood obesity.

Since our inception in 2000 we have been able to raise over $2,000,000 to fund these projects that benefit local underprivileged children. We are a local charity, with local leadership and NO paid employees that aims to leave an impact on our community.

Medbrook Children’s Charity is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation; tax identification number 55-0775633.
